Can we all wake up from this nightmare? These past four days have been so unreal and just do not make any sense. “Why?” “What if?” That’s all I can ask.
During mass today the priest was talking about how an airport is going to be built for John, and he will fly his planes in heaven since he cannot here. A plane flew in front of the sun and cast a shadow on us all at that moment. John was there with us. I know he was.

John, you lived a beautiful, but way too short, life. My heart ached to see your smile during the last goodbye to you. That smile. I will never forget that perfect smile.
